Johann Ortiz started playing locally in Northwest Arkansas, for the Arkansas Comets. Making the jump to Sporting Kansas City’s MLS Academy from the age Groups U12-U19. Signed To Sporting Kansas City 2 and experience with the MLS Side.

Ortiz has been called to the El Salvador U20, U21 and Senior National team. His experience goes internationally playing against the top countries
